the aluva chapter
in retrospect

chapter 00

last modified 20101006_1130 GMT
well, the aluva chapter for all practical purposes is over and has become  rather redundant. as such, what i am going to jot down over here in this blog is going to be a retrospect of sorts.

all the same there are certain things that i feel ought to be put in the public domain for i feel they have a certain amount of educative value for the novice. also it wouldn't be right that the propagandists' version  only comes out and mine is suppressed.

so whenever and wherever i can coax my lazy self to do so i will be filling in the story - in  instalments.

and for once i am typing in directly on to the blog rather than use an editor and there are going to be additions and alterations till the all the episode comes online. so the finished product could be very different from the initials ones in the finer aspects though the crux is the same.

in crude physical terms ( that is leaving alone a poor man's "vedanakalum madhurakinavukalum".) i will be reverting to a situation where i was six months back and that ,short of  50,000 INR. i know it is a very small sum for anybody else but for some one who is eaking out a living on a monthly pension of 6500 INR it is a rather big amount especially so in view of  the piddly sum that i have saved over the years.

the introduction

i was in new delhi during march - may 2009 trying to move the apex court with a writ petition under article 32 of the constitution of india - the constitution guarantees this right to every citizen of india. i was back on 25 may 2009 if i remember correctly and the very same day the owner of my rented house told me, no, he ordered me that i must vacate the house by the end of the  month - that is within the next six days or so. it was an impossible proposition and this proposition was coming up within three months of the fellow signing an agreement hiring out the house to me.

why should he have done this? well, anybody else in his position would also have been doing the same irrespective of caste creed community social status educational qualifications or any such thing for the people who are directing the happenings are the real powers that be of this country - the indian edition of the gestapo, the gestapi.

i was not bound to vacate in that hurry for the agreement clause specifically stipulated one month's notice but that was the maximum i could avail. and i some how or other managed to find a house in that interval.

the actual owner of the next house had told  me that i can stay in that house  for any number of years but as luck would have it i was asked to vacate even before the first one year was completed - some turn of events which were not anticipated earlier. the long and short of it was that within a period of one and a half years i had packed up and shifted house three times.

shifting a house they say is the third most stressful event in ones life and a fellow like me who manages the whole show himself - packing, transporting, unpacking - it was a real tough situation and  i had degenerated to a state where i was willing to do anything or experimenting to any extent to stop this cycle going on for ever.

it was exactly at this time that i received this grand offer of building a house of my own and  that within less than six months and a rented house to stay till the house is built.

i swallowed the bait hook line and sinker.

the wall clock in front of me shows 1045hrs - it is GMT
i AM feeling very sleepy and  tired.
but i am terribly hungry as well
and am planning to have some milk and cereal before i hit the bed.

i will be polishing up whatever you see above,
formatting it and all; but that will have to wait.

now do not miss the ensuing episodes;
they  are going to be very juicy,
and full of PD (para dooshanam)
